I love how the author captures your attention at the very beginning and then keeps me enthralled throughout the entire book. This is an easy read and very enjoyable. This whole series is great. There is action, adventure, and mystery as well as character development.
Read this book to find out what it is. Artemis Fowl has lots of interesting characters such as: Butler, a super muscled bodyguard of Artemis, a 12 year old genius, criminal and millionaire. I was surprised by the ending of the book because it seemed like what Artemis did with the gold, didn't follow the plot. In this book Artemis has come up with an evil plan that associates with the fairies, elves and sprites. This book is spectacular. It has lots of suspense and excitement. The only one to stop them is Captain Holly Short, a member of LEP, the fairy police.
It's written in a way children and adults can enjoy, with creative plot twists and interesting, amusing characters. The Artemis Fowl series is one of my favorites. The book has plenty of humorous bits along with tense moments that will have you neglecting anything else so you can finish reading.
I would have paid much, much more for this book had I known what I was missing. I highly advise anyone looking for a great read and a wonderful story to pick up this series and make time to read it cause you won't be able to put it down. Mr. The wit and humor of this story and its fellow's blew me away and becoming close to the characters is unavoidable. After seeing it for sale for a few dollars in a bargain bin at the book store I picked it up thinking that even for a few dollars it can't be that bad. This series was one that was always on my recommended list and for ages I set it to the side and read on with other authors, content that I wasn't missing much. I regret now that I didn't pick this series up as soon as it came out. Colfer creates a world full of mystery, intrigue, danger, excitement, humor, love and companionship.
